Yeah, it's neorealism, but plenty happens and there's loads of suspense. It's a great, great flick. And Bicycle Thieves is about a father-son relationship -- specifically the father's tragic loss of moral authority as he struggles to provide for his family. It's like THE ROAD, only better. (Dig the comparison to Pee Wee, though.) Don’t wait a month to watch ROME OPEN CITY. Yeah, it’s neorealism, but plenty happens and there’s loads of suspense. It’s a great, great flick.
