The books are great but are written for people of the female persuasion. Even though the film deals with make believe characters, it does deal with very real emotions. For me, the hook is the love story. Women want to feel adored, loved and beautiful. And, even though Edward is a vampire and therefore not a real man, to have another being say, "You don't know how long I have waited for you", is something to swoon over. I thought the quality of filmmaking in New Moon was better and it flowed more than Twilight. The film followed the story more closely than Twilight did which is always a plus for those that have read all of the books. The soundtrack is not as good in my opinion but that is just a matter of taste. Just my two cents! You know my thoughts – total guilty pleasure.
