Post-Production Diary: 8 minutes to go…

The Sundance deadline is quickly approaching but I think we are going to make it. We have 8 minutes of the film to cut. As it stands right now, the movie’s runtime is 1:24. With credits and such, we’ll probably land a little under 1:40. That’s about right for a suspense/thriller.
And the good news is, I really like this movie.

By the way, last night I was hobnobbing with Atlanta’s upper crust. Well, actually, I was filming them hobnob. That sounds weird. Anyway, I was hired to video a fund raiser sponsored by Faith Hope Adoption. It was an event called “Atlanta’s Best Dessert.” There were several Atlanta restaurants there and attendees could sample their desserts and vote on which they liked best. I don’t remember who won. But the most amazing thing about the night was the mansion that it was being held at.

Check out the pictures at this link. It reminded me of the estate that Edmund Dantes bought in The Count of Monte Cristo. I kept expecting a balloon to land carrying Jim Caviezel.
Faith Hope Adoption is an awesome organization that raises awareness about how “easy” it is to adopt. Bridgette Ward is the founder and she goes around to churches and businesses to talk to people about adoption.
I appreciate her hiring me to come film the event. My bills are rarely paid — so it’s nice to do that ever so often. ![]()
