Little Sister Daws

Just a quick note. My sister, Jenny, has made her first film. She did it for The Christophers Scholarship competition. She wrote it, directed it, and produced it. I was along for help and I also served as the D.P. I must say, I’m very impressed with her abilities… especially since this is her first film. She’s only nineteen. I wish I was this good at that age. Though, she did have some professional help.

This makes me realize how valuable it is to get on-set experience. For all you young filmmakers out there trying to learn to direct, get on a real set. You’ll learn a TON. Jenny has been around for most of our shorts and has seen how we work. For me it was The Bail. Check it out on IMDB.com. Terrible film. I was a production assistant. (I think my name is even on there. Whoo hoo.) I learned more about the on set process than I could from reading a hundred books on the subject.
Anyway, check it out at this link. It’s called One Person Can Make a Difference.
