Hey Josh,
I totally agree. Kate and I went to see Wicked a couple weeks back and loved it. It was such a well-conceived story, and thoroughly postmodern – truth is relative, authority is corrupt, and nothing is what it seems on the surface. I’d be interested to read the book. From reading the program, it sounds like a little more serious and intense story.
From what I hear, the book is considerably more adult. So keep that in mind before delving into it. My younger sister started reading it and had to stop because of the content. But I do agree about the story. I love how they took such a familiar story with clearly defined good and bad and showed how things aren’t always that simple.
